About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Transport Planner to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of our Transport Planning division, you will be responsible for project managing a range of development schemes, managing clients, and helping to grow the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage development schemes, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
  • Manage client relationships, providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the Transport Planning team, including training and mentoring junior staff
  • Undertake development planning work, providing highways and transport advice to private sector clients and supporting local authority clients
  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Transport Studies, as well as negotiate with planning, highways, and transport authorities
  • Utilize GIS, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, and TEMPRO highway software to analyze and interpret data
  • Develop and maintain technical reports, and engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication
  • Participate in business development and marketing activities to support new revenue streams within transport planning

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (Bachelor or Masters) in a numerical or spatial discipline
  • Extensive experience in transport planning in a development planning environment
  • Knowledge and experience of the planning process, including EIP/Structure Plans and Public Inquiries/Local Plans
  • Proficiency in GIS, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, and TEMPRO highway software
  • Excellent technical report writing and consultation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to business development and marketing activities
