Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at ANS. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for delivering a complete set of management accounts up to Net revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a complete set of management accounts up to Net revenue
  • Heading up a team of 3, managing 1 qualified and 2 part-qualified accountants, including providing support and mentorship
  • Providing in-depth analysis on revenue and cost of sales
  • Reviewing balance sheets and conducting monthly BS meetings
  • Monitoring reporting systems, preparing accurate financial reports and statements
  • Supporting the business function achieve its financial objectives through insight and analysis
  • Production of monthly management accounts, owning the process of revenue and cost recognition
  • Involvement in external audit to demonstrate effectiveness of financial controls and key point of contact for Net Revenue
  • Project work within the finance team as part of process improvement to increase efficiencies
  • Working closely with various other departments to provide insight on revenue and cost of sales, such as Commercial finance
  • Support in development and implementation of systems for the finance function
  • Support the Group Financial Controller on an ad hoc basis

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role or a management accounting role and ideally someone who has revenue recognition experience
  • Competent user of MS Excel for data preparation and analysis, with a clear and methodical style
  • Ideally experience with Microsoft Business Central accounting software
  • Proactive, organised individual comfortable working to set deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise when organising your own workload
  • Keen to immerse yourself in the culture of ANS and our shiny new office in Manchester
