We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to join our Theatres Department at New Victoria Hospital.

This critical role involves working closely with the medical team to diagnose and treat gastric intestinal problems using endoscopes. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will interact with patients, prepare the room and equipment, provide support to nurses and consultants during procedures, handle collected specimens, and sterilize equipment.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for covering the TSSU Coordinator role as required, managing decontamination processes, ordering and maintaining stock levels, and liaising with other departments to ensure proper handling of surgical instruments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain a clean environment for endoscopic procedures
  • Clean, disinfect, and calibrate endoscopic instruments according to manufacturer guidelines and hospital standards
  • Ensure adherence to personal protective equipment protocols during cleaning activities
  • Maintain accurate cleaning records

TSSU Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Manage the TSSU process, ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory standards
  • Procure and maintain necessary supplies, rotating stock to prevent overstocking
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper handling of surgical instruments

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
