Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle or skip collection vehicle, ensuring the efficient removal and disposal of refuse and recyclable materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain a refuse collection vehicle or skip collection vehicle to ensure the safe and efficient removal and disposal of refuse and recyclable materials.
  • Work closely with the crew to maintain the best operational relationships between the service and members of the public, adhering to Council policies and procedures.
  • Clean up spillage, loose refuse, and litter debris in any area, whether arising from skip collection operations or refuse collection and disposal of waste in an appropriate manner at designated disposal points.
  • Identify and report premises with refuse storage and/or prevention problems to the Refuse Supervisor.
  • Report damaged or unemptied bins in accordance with procedure, providing necessary details and affixing details to the affected bin.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work immediately or at short notice
  • Right to work in the U.K
