About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Manager to lead our quality function and drive excellence across our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies, managing quality systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality strategies to drive excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage quality systems, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and improve overall performance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and quality plans.
  • Support pre-production trials and production launches, ensuring smooth transition and high-quality outputs.
  • Engage with customers on quality issues, measurement reports, and concessions.
  • Interact with QMS for NCRs, concessions, change management, audits, etc.
  • Main quality contact for select customers.
Principle Accountabilities
  • Accountable to the Head of Operations and Program Management functions for delivering quality improvements and process efficiencies.
  • Support the Head of Operations to ensure effective quality performance of the team.
  • Identify, define, and implement opportunities for process and resource improvements.
  • Ensure problem-solving tasks are completed to IATF & AS requirements, ensuring efficient and robust closure, and employing Unipart Way problem-solving methodologies.
  • Support project and DFM reviews with achievable feasibility and quality directives.
  • Provide comprehensive production support for quality issues impacting the ability to manufacture and supply goods.
  • Ensure Process and Product audits are completed and acted upon in line with the annual audit plan.
  • Conversant in interpreting and applying industry standards.
  • Embracing a team approach throughout and at all levels of the business.
  • Lead quality improvement programs to reduce quality costs.
  • Compile, monitor, and report quality performance metrics.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation and records for project, customer, and business requirements in line with IATF16949 and AS9100.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
