About the Role

We are seeking a talented Principal Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects that stream directly from the Planning team, and aims to provide comprehensive Landscape Architectural services. Currently, there is a particular focus on exciting Quarry Restoration projects.

You can expect to have plenty of WFH flexibility, and to be acting as the leader of a small team, with plenty of support and autonomy available from other departments and the MD.

  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects, overseeing workloads, scheduling, and coordination with the Draughtsperson and specialist sub-consultants.
  • Proposal and Budget Management: Develop project briefs and fee proposals, monitor project expenses, and ensure financial efficiency.
  • Contract Administration: Prepare Specifications, Bills of Quantities, Contract Drawings, and manage the implementation of landscape works.
  • Landscape Design: Execute high-quality landscape design tasks.
  • Reporting and Assessments: Prepare comprehensive reports, including Landscape and Visual Assessments, and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Landscape Management Plans: Develop and implement effective Landscape Management Plans.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous training and professional development relevant to the role.

About You

  • Degree and/or Masters in Landscape Architecture.
  • Qualified as a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.
  • At least 3 years post-chartership experience in the public or private sector.
  • Full driving licence and use of own car.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
