This is a challenging and rewarding role for a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to provide a clinical pharmacy service to the gastroenterology ward on a rotational basis.

Main Responsibilities

Provide a clinical pharmacy service to the gastroenterology ward, including:

  • Individual prescription review to optimize therapy
  • Confirmation of patients' medication history
  • Advice on dosage, side-effects, cautions, and monitoring required
  • Participation in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and out-patient clinics to provide pharmaceutical advice to prescribers and other healthcare professionals

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications, including a Master's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Postgraduate diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Clinical experience within gastroenterology or hepatology, highly desirable
