Finance Leadership Expert for Infrastructure and Utilities

At Transport for London, we are seeking a highly experienced Finance Leader to join our team as Corporate Finance Director. This is a critical role that requires broad experience in capital raising, treasury, financial risk management, and structured/project finance activities.

About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished Finance Leader with a strong background in infrastructure or utilities from a large and complex organisation. Experience of structuring and executing complex financial transactions, including public/private partnerships, acquisitions, leasing, and securitisations, is essential. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in improving colleague engagement through leading and motivating highly professional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial and financial decision-making process to deliver real value for Londoners;
  • Manage a range of senior stakeholders from financial institutions, rating agencies, the capital markets community, and central and/or local government;
  • Navigate the political environment and make strategic decisions to achieve organisational goals;
Requirements
  • Highly experienced Finance Leader with broad experience of capital raising, treasury, financial risk management, and structured/project finance activities;
  • Strong background in infrastructure or utilities from a large and complex organisation;
  • Demonstrated experience in improving colleague engagement through leading and motivating highly professional teams;
  • Experience of structuring and executing complex financial transactions;
