About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Scotland, working on major civil engineering projects within the renewable energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing commercial aspects of projects, including cost control, contract administration, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise commercial aspects of projects, including cost control, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and designers.
  • Provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities, ensuring that projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit commercial reports and documentation, including cost reports, contract documents, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement commercial strategies, ensuring that projects are delivered to the required commercial standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in commercial management and contract administration.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
