We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Heart of Worcestershire College. As a key member of our Facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our college campuses, including maintenance, security, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Carry out general maintenance repairs of all types, including painting, minor works, and ensuring the cleanliness of college grounds.
- Security: Ensure the security of the college premises and assets, including the operation of intruder and CCTV systems, and patrol the campus to maintain the safety and well-being of staff and students.
- Operational Support: Assist with suppliers delivering incoming goods, distribute deliveries, and undertake driving duties, including postal delivery services across campus sites.
- Health and Safety: Comply with the requirements of the 'Health and Safety at Work' legislation, and work as part of a team carrying out statutory testing of fire protection systems.
- Qualified First Aider or willingness to gain within 12 months of appointment
- Relevant experience in maintenance work, security, and premises management
- Ability to carry out general maintenance repairs of all types
- Knowledge of health and safety issues and ability to deal with people effectively at all levels
- Ability to work alone and unsupervised, self-motivating and versatile
- Flexible approach to working hours and daily duties, and hold a full/clean license to drive vehicles and own vehicle

What We Offer- Competitive salary range from £22,074 to £22,865 per annum
- 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

- 6-month probationary period, with opportunities for professional development and training
