Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our team and work on the development of an automatic calibration system for Metawards, a high-resolution Covid-19 simulation model. This will involve working closely with our interdisciplinary group of epidemiologists and statisticians to develop a robust and accurate forecasting system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Working with the team to develop an automatic calibration system for Metawards
  • Collaborating with other researchers to integrate the calibrated model into a real-time analysis framework
  • Developing tutorial materials and workshops to share knowledge with other modeling groups

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, epidemiology, computer science)
  • Strong programming skills and experience with Bayesian modeling and simulation
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Estimated Salary: £35,845 - £40,460 per annum, dependent on experience.
