The Role:

The company is seeking an experienced Town Planner to join their team based out of the Royal Wootton Bassett office. As a Town Planner - Planning Consultant, you will work with a range of clients from national housebuilders and land promoters dealing with major planning applications, to individual householders wanting to bring forward small-scale developments. The project base is 95% residential, or residential-led mixed-use developments, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with strong residential experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide planning advice and services to clients, including the preparation and submission of planning applications.
  • Offer pre-application advice and guidance to clients on planning matters.
  • Manage appeals and provide strategic development guidance to clients.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their planning needs and provide tailored solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Town Planning, either private or public sector.
  • A relevant degree in Planning or related degree.
  • MRTPI status or close to submitting.
  • Robust working knowledge of the planning system.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently complete delegated tasks.
  • Desire to work with a small business.
