Patient Services Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our team as a Patient Services Clerk at Marie Curie Newcastle Hospice. As a key member of our administration team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to our patients and staff, ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process inpatient referrals and ensure all admission documentation is prepared prior to nursing/medical consultation.
- Prepare and update supporting patient records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Provide administration support at weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Coordinate and support discharge/transport arrangements for patients, ensuring timely and safe transfers.
- Maintain stationery and supplies within the ward, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.

Requirements:
- Excellent organisational, administrative, and minute-taking skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Publisher.
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a Health or Social Care environment, with a strong understanding of patient-centered care.
