As a result, we're seeking a security-cleared, combined Software Architect & DevOps Lead to support the development, transition, and operation of a new IT application and infrastructure solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead from a technology perspective over the Release Train, working across all teams to remove barriers, eliminate dependencies, and ensure the best Agile practices are followed.
  • Lead on all development and deployment solution aspects, including creating pipeline processes and providing deep technical expertise to Leidos programme teams.
  • Collaborate with customers on all aspects of deployment and delivery, including the assurance and integration of services to meet the needs of multiple lines of business.
Requirements:
  • In-depth experience with and detailed knowledge of both waterfall and agile software development methodologies.
  • Expertise in Scrum and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), with the ability to break down deliverables via epics and stories to ensure traceability of requirements.
  • Understanding of DevOps tooling, including Jira, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and other pipeline technologies.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices for Java, Python, BPEL.
  • Good general knowledge of Networking Technologies, including load balancing and firewalls.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Server Environments, including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP, and GP from design to implementation and support.
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux Environments, including network administration and networking protocols/functions.
  • Good general knowledge of Microsoft Stack technologies, including MS SQL, MS System Centre, Office365, MS Exchange, and CLI tooling such as PowerShell.
  • Database technologies, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.
  • Experience with Web Services, APIs, and Data Distribution Protocols.
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of complex incidents and ensure they're resolved to the satisfaction of the customer.
