Senior Accountant Position

This Senior Accountant role is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded employer in the South West of England. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting statutory accounts for a portfolio of agricultural clients, as well as preparing tax returns and assessments for a range of organisational structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparation and submission of statutory accounts for a portfolio of agricultural clients.
- Preparation of tax returns and assessments for a range of organisational structures.
- Assist with VAT returns.
- Manage workflow and ensure client work is completed and delivered to a high standard and in a timely manner.
- Liaise with HMRC on client matters.
- Confidently liaise with clients, attending meetings and helping with queries.
- Support with general accountancy services and business advice.
- Manage a portfolio of agricultural clients.
- Provide training and development for junior staff.
- Work closely with senior team members.
- Promote and strive for customer service excellence.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
- ACCA, ACA or CA qualified or working towards it with previous accountancy practice experience or QBE.
- Strong knowledge across accountancy services.
- Experience in agriculture is desirable but not essential.
- A can-do attitude to problem-solving.
- Audit experience is desirable.
- Self-motivated and able to manage a team's workflow.
- Able to bring out the best in others and review work.
- Excellent communication and advisory skills.
