About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Registered Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Mental Health Urgent Assessment Centre (MHUAC). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely, and evidence-based assessments and developing plans to support patients' safe recovery.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in crisis or acute mental health settings and be passionate about the Urgent Treatment Pathway and the MHUAC. You will be expected to provide professional practitioner supervision, foster effective and therapeutic relationships with service users and professionals, and provide expert clinical advice and support.

Main Responsibilities
  1. To assess the care needs and develop plans of care for individuals experiencing acute mental health deterioration or crisis.
  2. To lead the clinical team on shift and provide clinical services that align with the policies, protocols, and clinical procedures of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust.
  3. To work collaboratively with the team to provide a user-focused, accessible, and responsive assessment service that is safe, supportive, and competent for individuals experiencing acute mental health problems.
  4. To provide management supervision to Band 5's and 3's and contribute to the development of the team.

Requirements
  • Relevant experience of working with adults with mental health needs or clear evidence of substantial experience of working with individuals in crisis and skills that are transferable to both the community/in-patient.
  • Sound knowledge of the national agenda for mental health and clinical/risk assessment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide management supervision to Band 5's and 3's.
