About the Nurse Functional Assessor Role

Maximus is seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Functional Assessor. As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will play a vital role in assessing customers and understanding how their disability or health condition affects their daily life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to gather information about customers' health conditions and how they impact their daily lives.
  • Produce comprehensive reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions determine customers' eligibility for benefits.
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.

Requirements

  • Valid NMC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
