Teaching Assistant for Secondary-Aged Learners

GSL Education - Lincoln is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to work with secondary-aged students with special needs, including Autism and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties. As an SEN Teacher, you will use tailored and independent learning models to support student progress.
Responsibilities- Create, implement, and regularly review Individual Education Plans (IEPs), setting achievable and meaningful goals in collaboration with parents, students, and other professionals.
- Track pupil progress through thoughtful marking and assessment.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs and promote positive outcomes.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants to design engaging activities, with a focus on Life Skills and Functional Skills.
- Follow Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs) to ensure all specified outcomes are achieved.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- At least 6 months of experience working in SEN settings or alternative provisions.
- Confidence working with secondary-age students in either SEN or mainstream settings.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a dedication to promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
The salary for this position is £130.00 per day. This is a full-time contract with a competitive package of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
