Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Equans, a leading energy services contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their estates team at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. This is a permanent full-time position working from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

The Role:
  1. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the site's mechanical maintenance team, providing expert guidance on ventilation building services installation and maintenance techniques.
  2. With a strong background in mechanical trade and relevant qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess excellent trade skills, experience, and the ability to train and mentor team members.
  3. The role involves ensuring the satisfactory completion of statutory obligations, allocated maintenance, breakdown repairs, installation, and refurbishment works, all within the SLA and KPI's applied to site.
  4. Key responsibilities include carrying out maintenance/repair on mechanical ventilation services to plant and equipment across the site, supervising both in-house staff and contractors, and working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with a need for participation in the on-call rota.
  5. The successful candidate will be the Lead Medical Gas AP and subject matter expert, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and project ownership.
