Job Title: Assistant Director of Education

Location: West Midlands/Oxfordshire

Salary: up to £95,000

Contract: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Assistant Director of Education to join our team at Positive Futures Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating educational policies, programs, and initiatives within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee educational budgets, performance, and quality of schools
  • Line manage Headteachers and provide direction, support, and constructive feedback
  • Oversee and direct educational policies, programs, and initiatives within the organization
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff on SEND issues and pedagogy
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision and outcomes
  • Support schools in developing and reviewing their policies and practices
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant degree (e.g., Education, Special Education)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in leadership roles within education, preferably in SEND and or Independent School settings
  • A track record of improving outcomes for students with SEND
Desirable Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation and best practices related to SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with diverse stakeholders
