As a Live-In Carer at Home Instead, you will play a vital role in enabling clients to maintain their independence and comfort in their own homes. Your personalized care will be tailored to each client's unique needs, promoting their dignity, well-being, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Personal Support: Provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring the client's hygiene and dignity are respected.
- Medication Management: Oversee and administer medications to help clients stay on track with their prescribed regimens.
- Emotional Support: Offer companionship and engage clients in activities that boost their emotional well-being and enrich their day-to-day life.
- Meal Preparation: Plan, cook, and serve nutritious meals tailored to the client's dietary requirements and preferences.
- Household Tasks: Provide light housekeeping, such as cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe and clean home environment.
- Mobility Support: Assist clients with mobility, including the use of aids and supporting transitions between positions (e.g., from bed to chair).
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, care managers, and family members to implement personalized care plans.
- Health Monitoring: Keep track of clients' health and report any changes or concerns to care managers or medical professionals.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to handle emergencies, deliver first aid, and contact the appropriate services when needed.
About You
We are looking for individuals who possess empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster meaningful relationships with clients and their families. While prior experience in live-in care or healthcare roles is beneficial, comprehensive training will be provided.
