Position Overview: In the role of a Management Consultant, you will be instrumental in collaborating with clients within the manufacturing sector to spearhead Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives. Your work will involve close interaction with senior leadership and operational teams to pinpoint areas for enhancement, devise and execute strategic solutions, and guarantee enduring performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with manufacturing clients to evaluate existing operations, identify inefficiencies, and formulate customized improvement strategies.
- Lead and facilitate projects focused on Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement, employing methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Total Productive Maintenance.
- Perform comprehensive analyses of manufacturing workflows, data, and performance indicators to reveal root causes of challenges and areas for enhancement.
- Design and execute strategic initiatives aimed at maximizing productivity, minimizing waste, and improving quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive alignment and successful implementation of improvement strategies.
- Deliver training, coaching, and mentorship to client teams on Continuous Improvement methodologies and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, ensuring sustainable performance improvements.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to clients, emphasizing key insights, recommendations, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, or a comparable role within the manufacturing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, and other Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strong aptitude for data interpretation and decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in training and mentoring teams on Continuous Improvement practices and principles.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to client locations.
