Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our manufacturing processes at Osman Guile. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficiency and quality in production.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop manufacturing processes to optimise production efficiency and quality.
  2. Utilise CAD software, including AutoCAD, to create detailed schematics and models for manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and resolve engineering challenges.
  4. Conduct feasibility studies for new products, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to specifications.
  5. Oversee the installation and maintenance of logic controllers and other automated systems within the manufacturing environment.
  6. Apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in design and assembly processes.
  7. Provide technical support during the assembly of products, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  8. Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and enhancing productivity.

Required Skills

  1. Proficient in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, with experience in creating detailed schematics.
  2. Strong understanding of tooling design and development for manufacturing processes.
  3. Knowledge of plastics injection moulding techniques and best practices.
  4. Familiarity with logic controllers and automation systems used in manufacturing settings.
  5. Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  6. Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement efforts within a manufacturing environment.
  7. Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
  8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling collaboration across teams.

Work Information

  • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship.
  • Pay: £41,494.00-£44,471.00 per year.
  • Additional pay: Bonus scheme, Commission pay, Performance bonus, Tips, Yearly bonus.
  • Benefits: Company pension, Free parking, On-site parking.
  • Schedule: 8 hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday, Overtime, Weekend availability.
