We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Buying Manager to lead our Festive Food Operations team. As a key member of our buying team, you'll be responsible for curating a range of festive food products that meet the needs of our customers and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of buyers, developers, brand managers, online, technology, and supply chain stakeholders to deliver a seamless festive food operation.
- Oversee the development of the Festive Food to Order marketing brochure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
- Liaise with depots and fulfillment teams to plan demand and volume capacity across the Christmas week, ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
- Collaborate with category buyers, quality teams, and suppliers to ensure quality is achieved and maintained throughout the plan.
- Conduct regular store and website visits to gather customer insights and food trends, informing future product and range requirements.
- Support the supply chain plan, ensuring our products are in store on time and meet customer expectations.
- Commercial buying experience, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Project management experience, with the ability to lead multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Negotiation and influencing experience, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Report preparation and analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform business decisions.
- Stakeholder and supplier management experience, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
- Experience with data analytics and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and inform business decisions.
