We are seeking an experienced NMC Registered Immunisation Clinical Supervisor to join our team at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, based in South West London. As a valued member of our immunisation service, you will play a vital role in delivering safe and effective vaccination programmes for the local community.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of immunisation services, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
  • In this role, you will work closely with a dynamic team to provide clinical supervision and guidance to immunisers and other healthcare professionals.
  • You will also be required to conduct clinical assessments, review medical histories, and provide specialist advice as needed.
  • Your excellent communication skills will enable you to handle complex technical information and communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • You will have the opportunity to choose your shifts and sites through our rostering system, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of a safe and effective immunisation service, influencing and facilitating change within the setting and service areas.
  2. Conducting clinical assessments of patients prior to vaccination, reviewing complex medical histories, and offering specialist advice as needed.
  3. Providing clinical supervision of safe vaccination delivery, supervising drawing up and preparation of vaccines, and recording each activity.
  4. Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based policies and procedures.
  5. Clinical supervision of a team of registered professionals and immunisers/administrative staff or individual colleague.
  6. Providing highly specialist advice and technical services in relation to patient care.
  7. Required to work with minimal supervision, handling difficult conversations and converting complex technical information into easily understandable communication.
  8. Collection of cool box from base site to Clinic location, preferably with a clean driver's license and use of own car for work purposes.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is between £35,000 and £50,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
