Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to lead and deliver highly specialist clinical pharmacy services for our inpatient mental health services. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our services meet professional standards and comply with relevant legislation.

Key responsibilities include participating in the delivery of highly specialist clinical pharmacy services, carrying out medicines reconciliation, clinically checking and medication reviews to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines, and undertaking pharmaceutical care planning using local trust guidance and national protocols.

Requirements

  • A Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent qualification
  • A Postgraduate diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience
  • An Independent prescriber qualification or willingness to work towards
  • Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
  • A Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric Therapeutics/Clinical Pharmacy or willingness to work towards
  • Membership of the College of Mental Health Pharmacy (CMHP)
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS)
