We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon's Development Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Job Summary

This is a full-time role offering exceptional opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work on exciting and challenging projects, delivering results that make a difference to our business.

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in computer science or equivalent, with 3+ years of experience building production software. They will be skilled in modern programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#, and have experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Program with at least one modern language, including object-oriented design
  • Experience with cloud computing, large-scale and high-availability distributed architecture
  • Data manipulation and analysis, including command-line tools and scripting
Requirements
  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience building production software
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, or C#
  • Experience with software engineering best practices and full software development life cycle
