Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and liaise with tenants, leaseholders, and other stakeholders to identify areas of statutory disrepair and defects under the Housing Disrepair Protocol.
  • Prepare detailed specifications of work, risk assessments, and method statements, and produce estimates and feasibility studies for cost-effective repairs.
  • Obtain tenders and quotations from approved contractors, ensuring compliance with statutory budget and audit requirements.
  • Produce accurate photographic records to support casework in Court, maintain proper records of visits and inspection findings, and make recommendations to senior managers.
  • Represent the Council in Court as an expert witness, provide technical evidence, and assist with responses to the Ombudsman service in relation to repairs and major works issues.

Salary Range: £19.17 - £24.25 per hour
