We are seeking a skilled interpreter to join our team at Language Empire, providing professional interpreting services to the public and private sectors across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, fluency in English and another language, and the ability to work in various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organisations.

As a freelance interpreter, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home and choose your own schedule. You will also have access to ongoing help and support from our dedicated in-house team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
  • Checking the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with highly confidential information
  • Liaising between the service user and service provider

Requirements include:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered, or Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
