Zest Optical is working with a prestigious independent practice in Carmarthen to recruit a full-time Dispensing Optician.

This well-established practice has an excellent reputation in the area and specializes in high-end eyewear and exceptional customer service.

Dispensing Optician Role

  • This is a family-run independent Opticians practice that has been established for around 50 years.
  • The practice operates single testing room practices.
  • Main lens supplier is Rodenstock, but you have the freedom to work with most high-quality suppliers.
  • The practice has advanced dispensing equipment, including a DNEye scanner.
  • Working between two practices, mainly in Carmarthen, with a 4.5-day workweek and one full weekend off a month.
  • Salary between £26,000 to £29,000, plus a generous monthly bonus scheme.
  • Professional fees paid, free or very cheap parking available close by, and a free pair of high-end glasses each year.
  • Significant family discounts and annual trips to an international trade show as a team.

Requirements

  • GOC registered Dispensing Optician or a student DO.
  • A passion for offering excellent service and amazing products.
  • Interest in frame brands and styling.
  • Must be calm, comfortable, and confident at all times when talking to patients.
