About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic Water Engineering team in Belfast, Dublin, or Cork. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical outputs and contributing to bids and client interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design, and provide construction support for water utility projects.
  • Liaise and collaborate with our water and other discipline teams to deliver projects that meet agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Design mechanical installations, including municipal water and wastewater pumping stations, screens, grit removal plants, penstocks, valves, odor control systems, and pipework.
  • Conduct site visits to perform surveys and support liaisons with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Create pumping station designs, headloss calculations, and pumping system analysis/pump selection.
Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering.
  • Proven ability to produce, check, and approve engineering reports, designs, drawings, technical specifications, and calculations.
  • Extensive experience in water and wastewater projects across feasibility, outline design, detailed design, and construction support.
