Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the financial management of projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, conducting detailed cost analysis and forecasting.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favourable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards.
  • Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management, highlighting potential risks or opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on groundworks and civil engineering projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software.
