Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our Construction team at MWH Treatment's Tarbert WTW CWT site.

As a Site Engineer, you will report directly to the Site Manager and be responsible for providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in a safe and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and company safe working practices.
  • Assisting in the preparation of construction programmes, method statements, action plans, and risk assessments.
  • Setting out the works and checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
  • Agreeing site measurements and records with the client's staff.
  • Maintaining drawing files, drawing registers, and site filling systems.
  • Liaising with the design department to ensure updated information is used.
  • Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and assisting in the preparation of requisitions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of construction completion documentation.
  • Ensuring the works are constructed to a good quality in line with the specification and good working practices.
  • Ensuring quality records are maintained.
  • Working with other site staff to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, company health and safety policy, procedures, and safe working practices.
  • Establishing good, honest, and open lines of communication.
  • Leading by example in terms of safety behaviors.
