Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Biffa, a leading waste management company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and waste management equipment to meet health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out scheduled preventative service and maintenance inspections to meet Biffa's operator's licence commitments.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including light commercial vans and 44t articulated specialist assets.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet.

Requirements

  • Fully skilled having achieved a full level 3 HGV / PSV apprentice qualification/City and Guilds Qualification/NVQ Qualification.
  • Technician level.
  • Must have a minimum of a car/van driving licence.
  • HGV licence desirable.
  • IRTEC Qualification desirable.
