Job Title: Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to join our team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing a range of oral and maxillofacial surgery cases, and contributing to the development of our surgical team.

About the Role:
  • Provide expert care to patients with a range of oral and maxillofacial conditions, including trauma, orthognathic surgery, and dental implantology.
  • Contribute to the development of our surgical team, including participating in on-call rota and sharing expertise with colleagues.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our surgical services.
Requirements:
  • Full registration with the GMC and ideally a CCT in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.
  • Demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of our surgical services.
