Jonathan Lee Recruitment is assisting a global defence company in finding an Environment, Health and Safety Lead to join their team.
This on-site role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and as an EHS Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating, supporting and advising the business on all aspects of EHS across 3 UK sites. You will be the UK point of contact for the company, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
As an EHS Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with the company's ISO45001 safety management system, ensuring the business meets its statutory HSE obligations, including mandatory training, reporting, emergency arrangements, and more.
- Keeping and maintaining relevant HSE records, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
- Monthly reporting to senior leadership on EHS metrics, highlighting areas of improvement and success.
- Attending EHS-related conferences and working groups, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.
- Ensuring the business regularly reviews risk assessments, including all work equipment, machinery, and operations, to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in the Health, Safety and Environmental field, such as a NEBOSH Certificate.
- Experience in a similar EHS role, with a strong understanding of HSE regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
