Care and Support Worker

**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to provide essential support to healthcare professionals and assist patients in their daily activities. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Assist in the administration of medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Familiarity with healthcare practices and procedures is advantageous but not essential.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the healthcare facility.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a healthcare or care assistant role.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid DBS check (if not in place, we can assist with obtaining one).
- Care-related qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) are desirable, but not essential.
