Automation Systems Developer

We are seeking an Automation Engineer to join our team in developing and maintaining automated systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and expertise in continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and assembly of drawings to aid quotation, manufacturing, and build purposes.
- Fabrication and welding of components for automation systems.
- Development and implementation of code for controlling electro-mechanical systems.
- Development of control system software.
- Assistance with maintaining and optimising code for existing electrical systems.
- Following best practices for software version control and documentation.
- Utilisation of mechanical knowledge to design and implement automation solutions.
- Conducting root cause analysis on automation failures.
- Collaboration with the engineering team to develop automation projects.
- Degree in Mechanical design, Software engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software.
- Experience with fabricating and welding components.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a comparable technical degree.
- 3+ years of either ST (Structured Test) or C#/C++ experience with an emphasis on PLC or motion controllers programming.
- Experience with machine-control APIs.
- Familiarity developing machine controls for complex systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for automation system design.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Experience of root cause analysis.
