Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional service to external salespeople and clients, ensuring a consistent 'VIP' experience.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy in data records on all systems used in the role, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Ensure productivity meets or exceeds levels agreed with the Operations Manager, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate excellence in service delivery as part of the team's overarching purpose, upholding the highest standards.
  • Take proactive measures to minimize costs lost due to errors, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Handle customer queries via telephone and email, and monitor and maintain a shared inbox, ensuring prompt and effective communication.
  • Obtain pricing and provide accurate quote and service information, supporting business growth and development.
  • Manage customer bookings and input data into Multifreight and other systems, ensuring seamless data management.
  • Liaise effectively with customers, sub-contractors, suppliers, and agents, fostering strong relationships and partnerships.
  • Produce and send customer documentation, including bills of lading and instructions, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the business, including networking and research to stay ahead in the industry, driving innovation and growth.
Requirements:
  • A solid educational background in Maths & English, providing a strong foundation for success.
  • Industry-related qualifications as agreed with your line manager, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
  • Previous experience in a commercial environment or in a similar position, showcasing relevant skills and expertise.
  • Experience in import/export freight forwarding is highly desirable, providing a competitive edge.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team, promoting collaboration and success.
  • Proficiency in using Multifreight and other relevant systems, ensuring seamless data management and operations.
