Senior Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with Autism, ADHD, or Trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shifts and provide support to the Registered Manager with recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections.
- Support children to have the best quality of life possible, including baking, fun days out, and holidays.
- Ensure children's safety and plans are suitable for their needs, monitoring their development and keeping records up to date.
- Participate in the on-call rota, averaging 1 on-call per week, with an additional allowance.
Requirements:
- Patience, compassion, and resilience to work with children who may have experienced trauma.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to update children's plans and communicate with various stakeholders.
- A driving license to transport children to community activities.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins, and be available to work your full week in 2-3 days.
- A qualification in residential childcare or a willingness to obtain one within the first 2 years of employment.
