About the RoleThe Senior Nutrition Scientist role is a key position within the company, responsible for advancing and growing General Mills' health and nutrition leadership through prioritized health influencers.
Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Nutrition Scientist, you will be responsible for:
- Advancing and growing General Mills' health and nutrition leadership through prioritized health influencers.
- Monitoring relevant science-based nutrition trends within the region, but also with global team support, to help productive conversations for the future of the categories.
- Working closely with cross-functional partners in International business, R&D, external relations, legal, labeling regulatory compliance, and other departments to drive business growth and protect our freedom to operate through health and nutrition leadership.
In addition to your technical skills and expertise, you will also need to possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead trainings and build trusting relationships with external stakeholders based on scientific integrity.
RequirementsTo excel in this role, you will need to bring a strong understanding of European food regulatory environments and external contexts for food manufacturers, with experience in Front of Pack initiatives highly recommended. Additionally, you should be able to synthesize large amounts of information into business-relevant insights, with effective project management skills and a strong orientation to detail.
You should also be comfortable delivering on objectives as part of a global, virtual team, with a collaborative work style and strong ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional partners. Finally, you should have a strong ability to grow and adapt with the company, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and proven track record in food industry nutrition experience.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
