About the Opportunity

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled Slinging and Fleeting Expert to join our team at BAE Systems. This is a unique chance to develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced maritime environment.

As a Slinging and Fleeting Expert, you will be responsible for planning and executing complex lifting operations, using a range of equipment, including chain blocks and cranes. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

We offer a competitive salary of £34,640 per annum, plus a 33% shift allowance. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and a Share Incentive Plan.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute complex lifting operations using a range of equipment.
  2. Develop and implement effective lifting plans to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with the Slinging and Fleeting team to achieve common goals.
  4. Maintain accurate records of lifting operations.

The successful candidate will possess a NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications/experience, as well as CPCS NPORS certification. Strong knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, and BS7121 standards is also essential.
