Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic governance leader to join our board as a Chairperson for a fitness and wellbeing organisation in the North-West region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the leisure industry, with experience in leading and motivating teams through periods of growth and change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the board and make strategic decisions to drive the organisation's growth and success
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local councils, communities, and key stakeholders
  • Work closely with the CEO and executive team to achieve organisational goals
  • Conduct annual performance reviews of directors and ensure effective governance practices
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the organisation

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a C-Suite or NED role within the leisure industry
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to drive change and growth
  • High levels of integrity and a strong understanding of corporate governance
  • Able to commit to quarterly board meetings and annual performance reviews
  • Minimum term of 3 years
