Your RoleOur Road Logistics team at Kuehne+Nagel provide hundreds of customers with the services to move their goods across Europe. The sales team work directly to source, engage and maintain our customer base, ensuring that our customers' shipments are booked in efficiently and delivered on time.
Your Responsibilities- Efficiently process bookings from clients and overseas agents on to our system.
- Provide operational support for the Sales Managers when required.
- Liaise with all relevant parties throughout the shipment to organise the movement of goods by providing exceptional customer service ensuring their satisfaction and retention.
- Deal with any issues that may arise during a shipment and ensure the client and/or Sales Manager is updated.
- Process sales and purchase invoices of the branch.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in meetings and training sessions.
- Make sales calls, engage and onboard new customers.
- Analyse sales performance statistics and prepare/deliver customer review meetings.
- The minimum entry requirement for this apprenticeship is Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D including Maths & English.
- Our company values candidates who are passionate about providing excellent customer service, have a strong work ethic, and are able to communicate effectively with others. Good planning and organization skills is important and you will need the ability to multitask and be a self-starter.
- Previous use of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is beneficial.
- Please be aware that this vacancy does not meet the minimum requirements for visa sponsorship and for apprenticeship funding, candidates must have been resident in the EEA for at least the last 3 years.
- This is an entry-level training position. If you are already qualified or experienced in this area of work, this is unlikely to be the position for you. However, we would welcome your application for one of our other vacancies which can be found on our website.
Apprenticeship Contract: 21st October 2024 – 16th October 2026
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:15
Place of work: Office based
Recruitment Process:Step 1: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Step 2: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a telephone screening call with a member of our Resourcing team. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the business and for us to understand why you are interested in this apprenticeship and what you feel you can bring to the role.
Step 3: A final shortlist of candidates will be invited to an interview onsite with two members of the hiring team
Step 4: All candidates will receive telephone feedback after their interviews and if offered will be invited to return to the office for a further site tour and to provide right to work documentation.
