We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our team at Victim Support Wiltshire. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime and retaining and developing contracts for services.
About the Role:This is a home-based role, requiring extensive travel across Wiltshire and Swindon to attend in-person meetings and work from various community hubs. You will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and management team to achieve the implementation of workforce plans and develop the service to maximize positive outcomes for those who access the service.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime
- Support and manage operational staff to retain and develop contracts for services
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and management team to achieve workforce plans and develop the service
- Proactively promote the service, raise awareness of services, and work with professionals to improve access to and quality of services
- Understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the impact of crime on victims and witnesses
- Understanding of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding, and risk assessments
- Practical understanding of confidentiality and safe working practices and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
- Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery
- Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support, and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals
