Quantity Surveyor - Inverurie

Competitive Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

We are assisting CV Library in their search for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to deliver high-quality projects across Ireland, UK, and Europe. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing all financial and contractual aspects of projects from inception to completion.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects, including labour, materials, and provide accurate cost forecasts and financial projections to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Manage contract negotiations, variations, and claims, and resolve any disputes that arise.
  • Monitor and control project costs, tracking expenditures and ensuring they align with the approved budget.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final account statements providing detailed analysis of financial performance.
  • Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Work with the project team to identify & address any financial challenges that may impact project delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for financial and contractual matters with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or related field.
  2. 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within construction/engineering.
  3. Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, contract management, and cost control methods.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  5. High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial and contractual matters.
