Job Title: School Facilities Technician

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our school team as a permanent Facilities Technician.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school building and grounds, ensuring a safe site and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Being a key holder, including emergency call-outs
  • Opening and closing the premises
  • General maintenance
  • Liaising with staff and contractors
  • Ensuring a safe site and compliance with health and safety regulations

Shift Patterns:
  • Morning Shift 10 hours per week: 7am to 9am Monday to Friday
  • Afternoon Shift 15 hours per week: 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday (plus potentially some later locking up for an evening letting)

Salary and Benefits: NJC Grade 3, £24,404 pro rata, hourly rate £12.04, DBS disclosure check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, pre-employment checks, commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults.
