We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term/secondment opportunity for up to 12 months.
About the RoleThe successful applicant will be responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of all capital elements of the Capital Budget, as well as reviewing and evaluating Capital Business cases.
Applicants must hold an AAT qualification and membership and/or a finance/accountancy related university degree, along with a minimum of 5 years of general finance experience.
Key Responsibilities- Development, implementation, and monitoring of all capital elements of the Capital Budget
- Reviewing and evaluating Capital Business cases
- Maintenance and development of the Trust's Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
- Providing accurate and timely information on all capital works, including projects and monitoring costs against budget
- Production of capital financial performance reports, including management and statutory accounts, regulatory returns, and annual budgets and reforecasts
- AAT qualification and membership and/or finance/accountancy related university degree
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
- Minimum of 5 years general finance experience
- Experience of computerised accounting systems
- Knowledge of NHS capital accounting regime
