About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resuscitation Officer to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Resuscitation Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of high-quality resuscitation services across the Trust.
Main Responsibilities
- Organise and deliver resuscitation and clinical emergency response training to staff at all levels, using a range of teaching methods and technologies.
- Lead and support clinical emergencies within our acute sites, as part of our cardiac arrest team.
- Oversight of emergency equipment used in resuscitation, ensuring it is maintained and up-to-date.
- Facilitate focused audits within the remit of Resuscitation Services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Implement evidence-based practice and quality improvement projects to enhance patient safety.
- Organise, facilitate, and support Deteriorating Patient and Clinical Skills training delivery.

Requirements
- Registered healthcare professional (Nurse, ODP, Paramedic) with significant experience in acute healthcare settings.
- Resuscitation Council (UK) Advanced Life Support Instructor qualification.
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Resuscitation Council (UK) European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS) Instructor.
- Previous experience of working with multidisciplinary teams and dealing with seriously ill patients and/or cardiac arrest situations.
