About the Role:
As a Support Staff member at Jarvis Brook School, you will be responsible for providing assistance to teaching colleagues, supporting students with varying needs, and contributing to the overall success of our school community. Your role will encompass a range of tasks, including:
- Supporting the learning process by assisting students with small groups or individual needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
- Contribution to the health and well-being of our children, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages their social, emotional, and physical development.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with individual children and groups, serving as a role model for behavior and values.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a patient approach when interacting with students and staff. You will also need to be an effective team player, capable of adapting to changing circumstances and priorities within a dynamic school setting. A basic understanding of child-centered practices and willingness to learn and grow with our school community is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, although not necessary, it's beneficial. It's more about having the right attitude and approach towards working with our children.
